Elma Toland Yoga Therapist

Elma is a fully qualified and insured yoga teacher, teaching yoga for almost 25 years, having taken her initial teacher training with the Irish Yoga Association in1993.  In 1999 Elma completed her Yoga Therapy Training with the Yoga Biomedical Trust , which brought her teaching of yoga to a different dimension. Since that time Elma has taught a diversity of yoga classes, tailoring yoga to suit very different audiences. 

In the year 2000, Elma, along with four other equally motivated yoga teachers, founded Yoga Therapy Ireland. From this time Elma has been a tutor for Yoga Therapy Ireland on their 500 hour Teacher Training Courses, training yoga teachers in Classical Yoga, with a therapeutic approach . 
Elma is also one of Yoga Therapy Ireland’s senior tutors on the Yoga Therapy Training Course .  Alongside Yoga Therapy Ireland’s above training courses, Elma has taught on Yoga Therapy Ireland’s - Foundation Course, Yoga for Kids Course , Yoga for Sports Course , Chair Yoga Training. 
Elma Toland continues to tutor for Yoga Therapy Ireland in Dublin, but now resides in Co Donegal. She teaches weekly yoga classes there and each year takes groups of yoga enthusiasts on Yoga Holidays and Retreats to Donegal to practice yoga and to explore the beautiful Donegal landscape. 
Elma works with John Bell Yoga as external monitor for his teacher training course. She also facilitates specialist workshops for Yoga Therapy Ireland, The Yoga Fellowship of N. Ireland and Integral Therapy with Denise Diver.

Elma holds an international Yoga Alliance ERYT(Experienced Registered Yoga teacher) – 500 certification from Yoga Alliance, with special rcognition for Yoga for Children and Yoga for Pregnancy.

Elma holds a Montessori Teaching Diploma and Train the Trainer Certification.
